Open Doors

 Open Doors

Dear fellow believers in Jesus Christ, Scripture clearly outlines the extensive scope of our salvation—a package that not only guarantees protection and provisions but also, significantly, empowers us to confront serpents and scorpions without harm (Luke 10:19, Ephesians 2:1-22, Hebrews 2:3). This emblematic imagery is a testament to our triumph over the forces of darkness. Despite any challenges that arise against us, they will not overcome us.
However, a perplexing question arises: Why do numerous believers still find themselves vulnerable to the snares of the enemy, despite the profound promises of salvation? It is at this juncture that we should delve deeper into the concept of open doors. I invite you to join me in an exploration of this idea, as we seek to uncover the reasons behind this apparent paradox.
Let's start by exploring the concept of salvation. What exactly is salvation? Salvation refers to the process of reconciling us back with God and aligning us with His purpose. Through salvation, we gain various benefits such as Forgiveness, Protection, Security, Provision, Wisdom, Deliverance, and Eternal Life. These benefits are accessible to us as inheritance through our alignment with God. Salvation empowers us, enabling us to walk in the authority and power of Christ. It transforms us into priests of God (Hebrew 7:11, 1 Peter 2:9-10), allowing us to partner with Him in bringing His kingdom to earth, which is our primary purpose.
However, my question arises again: Why do believers sometimes struggle to fully embrace these promises and exercise their authority? The reason for this struggle lies in the concept of 'open doors.' The term 'open doors,' refers to a condition characterized by iniquities such as unrepentant sin, perpetual sin, and a state of being out of alignment with God. This concept of open doors grants the devil a legitimate basis to inflict adversity upon an individual's life when these iniquities are present. While all of these aspects might originate from ignorance, it's essential to note that ignorance doesn't absolve someone from the subsequent repercussions.
Iniquities can be categorized in two ways: perpetual sin (sinning knowingly) and covenants that are not aligned with God, which often occur in cases of ignorance. To support this, let's refer to Deuteronomy 28. Assuming you're familiar with its content, here's an overview of this chapter.
  • Blessings promised for obedience: prosperity, abundance, and victory (verses 3-14).
  • Curses listed for disobedience: disease, drought, famine, oppression by enemies (verses 20-44).
  • More curses: distress, hardship, exile, and shame (verses 45-48).
  • The culmination of curses: destruction, dispersion among nations (verses 49-68).
To summarize the consequences of disobedience to God's commandments and living in iniquity, a series of curses and hardships will befall individuals who turn away from God and His ways. These curses touch various facets of life, such as health, finances, family, societal standing, etc. They entail suffering, oppression, famine, defeat in battle, and displacement. Ultimately, the culmination of these curses can lead to personal destruction and dispersion. This warning underscores the significance of obedience and underscores the serious repercussions of forsaking God's covenant.
A common area where many believers often lack awareness is inadvertently forming Evil Covenants by worshiping false gods. How does this occur? Within a family lineage, these evil covenants are established when an ancestor or family member pledges loyalty to other gods (such as sorcery, witchcraft, occultism, idolatry, tarot card reading, rebellion, yoga, fraternities, and more). God, being a jealous God, states in His word that serving other gods will lead to the consequences of the fathers' wrongdoing affecting the children for three to four generations (Exodus 20:4-6).
This is another avenue through which 'open doors' occur. If these evil covenants remain unbroken despite living righteously—without undergoing the steps of breaking the covenant through repentance, renunciation of covenants, and the dismantling or destruction of related altars—a vulnerability arises. This means that a door is left open, granting the devil a legal foothold to launch attacks.
The truth is that the majority of people, and perhaps all, are tied to an evil covenant, whether knowingly or unknowingly, through their ancestors. Our current societal structure can unwittingly entangle us in an evil covenant due to our lack of awareness, as we may lack the necessary knowledge. It's crucial to recognize that our lack of knowledge or understanding regarding this matter doesn't grant us immunity from the associated curses.  If you hold a differing viewpoint, take a moment to examine your life and compare it to your family's history. Do you notice recurring patterns? If so, this could be evidence of an evil covenant within your lineage—a curse that has manifested in your life.
For instance, consider a scenario in which you move to a foreign country and are unfamiliar with its traffic laws. Despite this, you choose to drive because you're accustomed to driving in your home country and know its traffic rules well. However, your failure to learn the traffic regulations of the new country leads to inadvertently breaking one of their traffic laws. In this situation, can you be exempt from facing the consequences of your actions? Definitely not. This illustrates why it's of utmost importance to break evil covenants and why reading the Bible personally and seeking God's guidance in every aspect of your life is crucial to acquiring knowledge and understanding, so you may not fall victim to the schemes of the devil.
Evil covenants play a pivotal role in opening doors to negative outcomes. The gravity of these outcomes is intricately tied to the ancestral evil covenants within the family lineage. To illustrate, consider two distinct bloodlines bound by an evil covenant, both committing the same sin of theft. Surprisingly, one bloodline could receive a lenient punishment like probation, while the other could face a severe sentence of 20 years in prison for the same theft. This variation in penalties is directly influenced by the type of evil covenant present within each bloodline.
Therefore, it becomes imperative to sever or break these evil covenants in your bloodline to prevent the occurrence of open doors. To identify whether your bloodline is entangled in an evil covenant, pay attention to recurring malevolent or evil patterns within your lineage or any participation in the worship of false gods or deities. For instance, indicators of an evil pattern within a bloodline include poverty, hereditary diseases, terminal illnesses, untimely deaths, mental illnesses, inherent disability, panic attacks, suicides, fears, anti-marriage tendencies, divorces, barrenness, instances of child abuse, molestation, rape, incest, sexual abuse, adultery, perversions, domestic violence, drug addiction, alcoholism, and more.
The second category of iniquities pertains to perpetual sin, which involves knowingly engaging in sinful behaviors. It is crucial to bear in mind that the consequences of sin are severe, as stated in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death." Engaging in continuous, unrepentant sin can result in the opening of spiritual doors. The spiritual realm operates based on a strict sense of legality: both the realms of good and evil are governed by God's divine laws. By transgressing these laws, you provide the enemy with a legal foundation to launch attacks against you. Conversely, adhering to God's laws prompts angels to safeguard you from the advances of the enemy. Upholding these laws leads to angelic protection, which acts as a defense against harm.
In conclusion, aligning yourself with God's will involves obeying His commandments, maintaining a state of constant repentance, and breaking every evil covenant. Take a proactive stance by seeking God's presence in any area of your life where His promises have yet to be realized. Initiate this process by posing questions rooted in scriptures and actively seeking God's guidance wherever you may find a lack of knowledge or understanding. Additionally, make sure to close any open doors by examining any negative or evil patterns in your life. Take the necessary steps to break these covenants. With this in mind, I would like to extend a recommendation for you to watch a video that delves into the topic of breaking ancestry evil covenants. This video sheds light on the importance of understanding these concepts and taking steps to address them.

To discover God's treasure, you must search for it; this treasure is the mystery of God's kingdom

To discover God's treasure, you must search for it; this treasure is the mystery of God's kingdom

The Scriptures affirm, "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field" (Matthew 13:44). The concept is reiterated: The kingdom of God remains a mystery, revealed only to those who search for it diligently. When it's revealed, it becomes a valuable treasure. It holds the answers to understanding how to receive God's promises and gaining the knowledge to walk in the authority of Christ Jesus in our lives. That is why the scripture says, "If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God" (Proverbs 2:4-5) because it is indeed a priceless treasure.
Understanding the treasure-like mystery of God's kingdom starts with grasping the importance of fearing the Lord. To truly understand this fear, you need to explore His Word and connect with Him, which you achieve through reading the Bible and praying. As your knowledge and understanding of God increase, you transform into a treasure contained within a humble vessel, because God's power becomes evident in you and His kingdom shines through you. The scripture affirms this concept: "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair."(2 Corinthians 4:7-8).
Paul's ultimate goal in Colossians 2:1-3 is for believers to attain a profound and unshakable assurance of understanding. He desires us to acquire insight into the mystery of God, encompassing both the Father and Christ. This 'mystery' pertains to the divine plan of salvation through Christ, which was previously concealed but is now being unveiled to those who earnestly seek it. The central idea centers around the fact that in Christ, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden, accessible through a genuine relationship with Him, as scriptures affirm, 'In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge' (Colossians 2:3).
In order to recognize a treasure, you must understand its value. The kingdom of God is such a treasure, which is why we all accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. This choice places us under His protection and enables us to benefit from His blessings, excelling in all areas of our life. Jesus holds the key to knowledge and understanding. These mysteries aren't openly revealed to everyone, but rather to those who actively seek them. That's why you'll come across phrases like "He who has ears, let him hear" in scriptures (Matthew 11:15, Mark 4:23, Revelation 2:7). This saying emphasizes that not every believer comprehends the mysteries of God's kingdom. The blessings of the kingdom of God aren't automatically granted when we accept Christ; instead, we need to engage in aligning with God's principles to activate these blessings in our lives. If it were otherwise, every believer would be immune to sickness, poverty, premature death, negative circumstances, etc.
That's why the scripture warns us in Proverbs 7:1: 'My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you.' This is because understanding the word of God is the key to success in life. This understanding isn't available to everyone, but only to those who search for it like a treasure. This mystery holds the solution to our lives.
Now that you've arrived at the understanding of pursuing God and seeking to comprehend His kingdom, as you remain in Him and He in you, He will start unveiling Himself to you. He will grant you the ability to hear and see, enlightening the eyes of your understanding. The Holy Spirit will become your closest companion, shedding light on your spiritual journey to fulfill your purpose on Earth by aligning with God's will.
When you reach maturity in your journey with Christ and have fully embraced God as your Father, relying completely on Him, you transform into a skillful soldier for God. This comes with an understanding of the kingdom of God and the ability to exercise your authority, as Scripture confirms. As it's said, "Then He said to them, 'Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old' (Matthew 13:52). With these tools, you can access the blessings that were your inheritance from the outset and experience a life of liberty.
Seeking the kingdom of God is like finding a hidden treasure, realizing it's the ultimate jackpot, and then proudly becoming a card-carrying member. Pursue God; I assure you, you won't regret it.

Prayer Without Ceasing: Equipping Yourself for Warfare and Exercising Spiritual Authority

Prayer Without Ceasing: Equipping Yourself for Warfare and Exercising Spiritual Authority

The Scriptures instruct us with the directive to "pray without ceasing," as indicated in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Additionally, the Scriptures emphasize that our spiritual battles are not waged using physical weaponry; instead, they are confronted with the formidable power of God, which dismantles strongholds. This truth is underscored in 2 Corinthians 10:4, asserting that 'The weapon of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of stronghold'.
Hence, when we involve ourselves in prayer, it sets in motion profound alterations in the spiritual realm. To put it simply prayer works! Prayer, seen as our priestly duty to God, necessitates a continual devotion to the act of prayer itself. This aligns with the admonition found in Scripture: "praying at all times in the spirit, with all prayer and supplication." Such a commitment further demands unwavering vigilance and steadfast determination, as we remain alert and unyielding in our resolve. We are called to extend our supplications to all fellow believers, as expounded upon in Ephesians 6:18.
Every believer is called to engage in unceasing prayer, as our foremost responsibility is to align with God's will. This entails praying for God's will to be realized on Earth just as it is in Heaven. Once a believer makes the decision to bear their cross and follow Jesus, it becomes essential to recognize that the adversary will inevitably focus on them. The only effective way to overcome Satan is by consistently upholding a state of uninterrupted, perpetual prayer. We are also obligated to pray for our fellow believers; there is strength in numbers when we unite in prayer, as affirmed by the Scriptures: "For where two or three gather in my name, I am there among them" (Matthew 18:20). Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them (Matthew 18:19-20).
Allow me to share a little-known secret about the benefits of continuous prayer. To effectively engage in prayer, it's crucial to have a deep understanding of God's word and to pray in alignment with the leading of the Holy Spirit. Let me break this down for you, starting with a relevant scripture: "praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).
When you pray in the Spirit, you open yourself to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This guidance directs your prayers according to God's will and the current circumstances. The Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf, as mentioned in scripture: "Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words" (Romans 8:26). This demonstrates the profound connection between praying without ceasing and the role of the Holy Spirit in leading and guiding your prayers.
Transformation unfolds within the realm of unceasing prayer. Through this practice, humility, submission, and obedience flourish, leading to heightened spiritual sensitivity to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This process shifts the focus from personal desires towards a deeper alignment with God's will.
When we begin to pray in accordance with God's will, we discover that our entire life starts to align with His purpose. This is where scriptures like 'Abide in me, and I in you' (John 15:4) begin to make much more sense, as our focus becomes centered around Christ. As we abide in Jesus, we start walking in His authority, and Christ manifests His power through us. Let me substantiate this with scripture: 'If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love' (John 15:10).
Furthermore, it continues, 'If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you' (John 15:7). Continuing still, 'The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us (1 John 3:24). Finally, Jesus said, 'He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to Him' (John 14:21). In summary, the scriptures we have just read can be distilled to this: Love Jesus by keeping His commandments. This is how you abide in Him, and in turn, the Father will love you, and Jesus will manifest Himself in you. This is how you operate in His authority and how your prayers are answered according to God's will.
Prayer without ceasing doesn't come naturally; it's your pursuit of God that builds the muscle of unceasing prayer. As you persist in prayer, the Holy Spirit takes charge, guiding you in how and when to pray. This continual practice strengthens your ability to pray without ceasing.
However, as you build this spiritual muscle, you will encounter spiritual warfare, which involves opposition. When you pray according to God's will, you engage in a battle against the forces of darkness. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit is present to provide you with strategies for approaching these spiritual battles, thereby equipping you for spiritual warfare.
You will experience growth in stages as you overcome one level of spiritual warfare after another. This progression equips you for effective spiritual warfare and helps you master using the authority of Christ Jesus to engage with the enemy.
It's important to note that genuine prayer without ceasing is intimately tied to knowing the Scriptures and studying the Word of God. In order to avoid praying amiss, you must be familiar with God's will and align your prayers with it.

Cultivating a prayer life is of paramount importance for your spiritual journey, particularly in a fast-paced society where allocating exclusive time for prayer can be challenging. The solution is clear: "Simply Prayer for Our Daily Journey," a scripture-enriched prayer book designed for all aspects of life. Additionally, pair it with a Faith-building scripture book to assist you in persevering through the waiting time on God’s promises and strengthening your faith. However, it's essential to note that this prayer book doesn't replace genuine, quality time with God; you must spend dedicated time with Him.

The Whole Armor of God

 The Whole Armor of God

Scriptures affirm, "Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:11-13).
Today, we will discuss the significance of wearing the whole armor of God, its proper application, the elements of each armor, and how it serves to protect us. I will explain their functions using scriptures. The armors are (Ephesians 6:14-17)
  • The helmet of salvation.
  • The belt of truth.
  • The breastplate of righteousness.
  • The shield of faith.
  • The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
  • The shoes of the gospel of peace.
I will delve into each armor and its biblical significance for our protection against spiritual warfare.
Let's start with the helmet of salvation. What is salvation? It's the process of reconciling us back to God and aligning us with His divine purpose. Prior to salvation, we were separated from God and faced the consequences of our sins, condemned to eternal death and Hell as punishment (John 3:16, Ezekiel 36:26, Colossians 1:13-14). However, when we accept salvation through Jesus Christ, we gain access to God's throne of grace to receive mercy. Salvation offers us forgiveness, protection, security, provision, wisdom, deliverance, and eternal life.
These benefits have always been accessible as our inheritance, provided we are aligned with Him. Furthermore, salvation designates us as heirs to the Abrahamic blessing (Galatians 3:14, 29). As a whole, salvation empowers us to walk in the authority and power given by Christ. We become priests to God, holding the scepter of authority to partner with God in bringing His kingdom to earth as it is in heaven and fulfilling His will, which is our primary purpose.
Next, we will be discussing the Belt of Truth. What exactly is the Belt of Truth? It's the foundation we stand upon – the Word of God, which is Jesus in the flesh. Without Jesus, entering the Kingdom of God isn't possible; He's the sole pathway to God. Our acceptance of Him through faith is what grants us freedom. This truth entails understanding that Jesus is our Savior, and we attain salvation through faith. Embracing the full scope of salvation and anchoring ourselves in this truth, we gain knowledge of who we are and our authority in Christ. My desire is for you to understand the truth of your salvation and the authority you carry. You are powerful and protected. The devil's goal is to make you ignorant of your power in Christ Jesus.
The breastplate of righteousness is quite straightforward—it involves walking in righteousness. But what does it truly mean to be righteous? To be righteous is to be set apart, and morally upright, which equates to obeying God's commandments. Scripture tells us that we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), and Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13), freeing us from its grip. This indicates that we're no longer bound by the law. This righteousness is established when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. By approaching God through Jesus, who is holy and just, we are seen in the light of His Son and not in the shadow of our sins. This provides us the confidence to boldly approach God's throne to seek His mercy (Hebrews 4:16). Our salvation and righteousness are gifts of grace. Still, they do not provide us the license to continue in sin (Romans 6:15). We must remember that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and there are consequences when we don't repent. Although our righteousness may be likened to a filthy rag, we are called to strive for a life free from sin.
This transformation isn't a solo effort but is accomplished through the help of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:5, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:13). We achieve righteousness in our journey by wholeheartedly surrendering to God. This is how we manifest the principles of the kingdom of God here on earth, and it's through this that the world acknowledges our distinctiveness and knows that we are set apart.
The Shield of Faith prompts us to explore the concept of faith. According to scripture, faith is described as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Faith can be understood as trust or belief. Scripture emphasizes that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Abraham's belief in God was counted by God as Abraham being righteous (Genesis 15:6). Moreover, faith arises through hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Let's explore these scriptures and analyze their significance. When we first adopt Christianity, we receive a portion of faith (Romans 12:3). This faith enables us to embrace an unseen God – take a moment to reflect on this fact. As we cultivate a connection with God, trust becomes essential. Devoid of faith, weakens our relationship with God, resulting in His displeasure. Ultimately, significant scriptures like (Hebrews 11:6 and Romans 10:17) unite these ideas. Placing our trust in God necessitates believing in Him. Yet, how do we develop this belief? He establishes and validates Himself to us through His word, which underscores the reason Scripture highlights that faith originates from listening to His word. The word of God operates on a cause-and-effect principle: as you apply His principles to achieve a desired outcome and witness it manifesting, your belief becomes more solid, thereby nurturing the growth of faith.
Nonetheless, this progression in faith can only occur when we engage in actively listening to His word in order to grasp its application. You can now see why pleasing God becomes unattainable without faith. This is chiefly because the absence of faith corresponds to a lack of understanding of Him, which ultimately causes His discontent. Returning to the concept of the Shield of Faith entails putting your trust in God's word and standing against the deceit of the devil. By comprehending the truths within God's word and genuinely believing in its assurances concerning your situations, you become protected from the lies of the enemy.
The Sword of the Spirit, known as the Word of God, encompasses the scriptures we engage with daily. This Word, the scriptures, serves as a weapon—a sword—in the realm of the spirit, employed for spiritual warfare. According to scripture, the Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). The Word is what prompts the angels to respond when we pray; as we speak these scriptures, they enter into battle on our behalf. It is of utmost importance to acquaint oneself with the scripture, a pursuit achieved through studying the Bible, and to grasp how to apply it to specific circumstances. This approach is how one effectively engages in spiritual combat and prevails over the adversary.
The last element of armor is the "Shoes of the Gospel of Peace." Through these shoes, we are adorned with peace, joy, and assurance in the joyful message of Christ's gospel. We grasp the idea of salvation, its advantages, and we're eager to share it with anyone open to hearing. Our enthusiasm springs from the awareness that the gospel of Christ's good news not only brings deliverance and liberty but also bestows security and peace that goes beyond all comprehension.
So, when we break down each piece of the armor of God, how does all of this harmonize? The scripture instructs us to put on the whole armor of God, but how do we actually go about equipping ourselves with it? We put it into practical action in our daily lives, quite literally.
We put on the helmet of salvation by comprehending the essence of salvation and recognizing our authority in Christ Jesus. The belt of truth is worn by internalizing and embracing the truth found in the word of God, fostering confidence in this truth. The breastplate of righteousness is adorned by adhering to God's commandments and consistently seeking repentance. This is crucial because sin's consequences lead to death, and iniquities can create vulnerabilities, offering the enemy a legal basis for attack.
We carry the shield of faith to resist the devil's deceptions and doubts about our circumstances. Remember, faith is nurtured by engaging with the Word of God. The sword of the Spirit, which symbolizes the scriptures, is employed in our prayers. These scriptures prompt our ministering angels to engage on our behalf, facilitating the answer to our prayers. It's important to note that you must possess knowledge of the Word to effectively employ it in your prayers.
Lastly, the shoes of the gospel of peace represent sharing the Word of God with everyone, believers and non-believers alike. This dissemination is essential for expanding God's kingdom on Earth.
This is the method by which we put on the whole armor of God each day, ensuring our protection against the schemes of the devil. Through consistent engagement with the word, you attune yourself to don this armor, growing stronger with each passing day. It's important to note that this practice doesn't guarantee the absence of challenges, but rather equips you to triumph over them.

Purpose Is Found in the Journey, One Season at a Time

Purpose Is Found in the Journey, One Season at a Time Happy New Year.  It’s a new year—January 2nd, to be exact—and I’ve been reflecting on ...
