Sprit Realm, Part 1

 Spirit Realm, Part 1

When God created the world, He bestowed upon mankind dominion over the earth, instructing them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue it. Humans possess exclusive authority, granted by God, to operate within this physical world through their earthly bodies. Spiritual entities, including God and demons, require the consent of a human to interact within this earthly domain (Genesis 1:26,28, Psalm 8:6). Once a person dies on earth, their involvement with this world comes to an end, and they no longer have access to it. This is affirmed in scripture, as it states that "His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish (Psalms 146:4). Furthermore, it is recognized that the living (man) are aware of their mortality, but the deceased is unaware of anything, and they no longer experience rewards or recognition, as "the memory of them is forgotten". As scripture affirms, For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten (Ecclesiastes 9:5).
God's rule is indeed universal, encompassing every being in heaven and on earth, regardless of their physical or spiritual nature (Job 38:33). His rules, which are outlined in the Bible, apply to all (Psalms 19:1-7). However, many Christians may not be fully aware of the existence of the spiritual realm or the fact that we coexist with spirits. It is important to remember that God is a spirit, and so are demons. As for the question of where spirits reside and how they operate on earth, it is a matter that varies in different theological beliefs and interpretations.
Scripture says For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The scriptures we have just read demonstrate that not only do we coexist with spirits, but they also exert influence upon us. Another scripture that provides further evidence of our influence by spirits is found in 1 Kings 22:13-26. In this passage, Micaiah has a vision in which he sees a scene in heaven where God is seated on His throne, with the host of heaven standing beside Him on His left and right. The Lord asks who will entice Ahab to go into battle so that he may meet his demise, and a spirit volunteers to go before the prophet as a lying spirit, with the intention of influencing them to persuade Ahab to go to war. This passage highlights the influence of spirits in the spiritual realm and their impact on human affairs.
And the final scripture that demonstrates our influence by spirits is Ephesians 2:2, which states, "In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience." This passage highlights how we were previously under the influence of the evil spiritual forces that govern this world. We lived according to the desires of the flesh and mind, following our own sinful inclinations, and were by nature deserving of God's wrath, just like everyone else. This verse emphasizes the spiritual realm's and spirits' impact on our lives. Just as evil spirits have the ability to influence, the Holy Spirit also operates in a similar manner and even more. The Holy Spirit imparts individual gifts to us for the edification of the body of Christ. He teaches, corrects, and reminds us how to live in righteousness. Additionally, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf (John 14:26, John 16:7-8, 13, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, Romans 8:14, 16, 28, Titus 3:5-6). These verses testify to the Holy Spirit's role in guiding and empowering believers, ensuring their spiritual growth and alignment with God's will.
Based on the understanding that we coexist with both good and bad spirits and that they have an influence on us, it is further recognized that the spirit realm serves as the foundational realm of our physical world. Events and occurrences first unfold in the spiritual realm before manifesting in the physical realm.
Additionally, it is important to note that we are spiritual beings, and in our dreams, it is our spiritual selves that engage with spirits. Scripture can indeed provide evidence to support these ideas. Let us revisit the story of Ahab in 1 Kings 22:1-37. In the spiritual realm, through Micaiah's vision, it was revealed that an agreement was made for a lying spirit to entice Ahab through the prophet, leading him to go into battle and meet his demise as planned. The events that were agreed upon in the spiritual realm subsequently unfolded in the physical world, as Ahab indeed went to war and met the fate that had been determined in the spiritual realm.
This story serves as a powerful illustration of how the spirit realm has a profound impact on earthly events. It highlights the understanding that everything unfolds first in the spiritual realm before manifesting in our physical world. The events surrounding Ahab's demise demonstrate the influence and significance of the spiritual realm in shaping and determining outcomes in the physical realm.
An example that supports the notion that our spiritual selves engage with spirits in the spirit realm through dreams is the story of Solomon. In 1 Kings 3:3-28, Solomon offered a sacrifice to God, which greatly pleased Him. As a result, God visited Solomon in a dream and asked him what he desired. Solomon expressed his desire for wisdom, which pleased God, and as a result, God blessed him with wisdom and great wealth in the dream. When Solomon woke up, he began to demonstrate remarkable wisdom, and according to scripture, he became the wealthiest man on earth. This story demonstrates how encounters with spirits, in the case of God, and spiritual experiences can take place within the spiritual realm of dreams, impacting our lives in significant ways.
The spirit realm is the parent world to our physical world as scripture affirms, We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Prayer for direction

Prayer for direction (Finances, Ministry, etc.)

Heavenly Father, I'll thank You for the gift of life today and Your mercy. I shall rejoice and be glad in it (Psalms 118:24). I repent of all sins I have committed, Knowing and unknowing, through my taught, words and actions. I repent for all these sins, Your word says, if we confess all of our sins, You are Faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Father, You formed my inward part; You cover me in my mother’s womb. As long as there is breath in me I will always praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And my soul knows this to be true. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, the days planned for me, before a single day began (Psalms 139:13-14, 16). Your word says, For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11)Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall always praise you (Psalms 63:3).
Father your word says, Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be open. For anyone who asks receives, and he who seeks, finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).  Anyone who lacks wisdom, let him ask God, for God will give him wisdom generously without reproach (James 1:5). For the Lord gives wisdom, out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6). Father, I am asking You for wisdom on what direction I should take where you have secured my provisions, solution, and answer. You lay out sound wisdom for the righteous. You are a shield to those who walk uprightly (Proverbs 2:7).
Your word said Man's gift will make room for him and bring him before great men (Proverbs 18:16). I humbly ask you to reveal my gifts and lead me to where you have secured my provisions, point me to the right direction, lead me to the door I should be knocking for resources, so I'm not wasting neither your time nor mine. Amplify my sense of discernment, to know where and whom You are leading me to for resources. Lord, help me to recognize my gifts, so my gifts can make room for me to fulfill my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
Your word says Because I acknowledge Your commandment and I listen to Your wisdom, I seek Your wisdom like it is silver and understand it is a treasure, You will give me an understanding of the fear of the Lord and I will find Your knowledge, for You Lord, gives wisdom and out of Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:1-6). Father please let this be manifested in my life, fill me with Your spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, in the name of Jesus. Your word says You are able to make all grace abound to me, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, having all that I need, I will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). Because I delight in God's law and mediates on His law day and night, I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; whatever I do shall prosper (Psalms 1:2-3). No good thing will you lord withhold from me because my walk is blameless (Psalms 84:11). For your word said, Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon me and establish the work of my hands, yes! establish the work of my hands (Psalms 90:17).
Therefore, I decree and declare God's word over my life for Your word says, life and death are in the power of my tongue, I decree a thing, it shall be established in my life and you have placed Your word above Your name (Job 22:28, Proverbs 18:21, Psalms 138:2b): I decree the seven spirit of the lord upon my life, the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, fear of the Lord, Your fullness and might (Isaiah 11:2-3), in the name of Jesus. I decree Your favor encompass me about as a shield and I will find favor and good understanding in the sight of man and God (Psalms 5:12, Proverbs 3:4). I decree, I will be fruitful, I will multiply, replenish and subdue this world, in the name of Jesus. I shall fulfill my destiny.
Father, I decree and declare all of these promises over my life, and these promises will be manifested in my life from this moment forth because God's word shall not return unto Him void but must accomplish where He sent them (Isaiah 55:11). And this is the confidence I have in the name of Jesus that I ask anything according to your will, lord you will hear me and that my joy may be full (1 John 5:14, John 16:24), in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

Prayer for God's will

 Prayer for God's will

God's will is expressed through His word, the Bible, which serves as our guide for aligning ourselves with His purposes. In the Bible, we are encouraged to pray in alignment with God's will. Scriptures such as 1 John 5:14 state, 'Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His "WILL", He hears us.' As priests to God, having been made righteous through the blood of Jesus, we are created with a purpose to fulfill His will, as He has entrusted us with dominion over the earth (1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, Isaiah 61:6, Genesis 1:28, Psalm 8:6)
It is our responsibility to align our prayers with His will so that His purposes can be accomplished on earth. According to scripture, when we prioritize seeking the kingdom of God, we are promised blessings and provision. God, who already knows our needs even before we ask, will supply us with all that we require. Moreover, as we seek His kingdom and righteousness above all else, we are assured that whatever we ask for in His name will be granted to us. (Matthew 6:26-34, John 14:13-14, John 15:7). This is where praying with scriptures becomes valuable, as it allows us to align our prayers with God's will. We are coming in agreement with His word and it does not go back to Him empty or without accomplishing its purpose. Scriptures affirm, So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Today's Prayer

Father, this a new day, You have made and I will rejoice and be glad (Psalms 118:24). I thank You for the gift of life, for the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ on the cross. I thank you for the divine exchange that took place on the cross, that I may receive forgiveness and deliverance. I thank You for giving me life, I thank You that I am made the righteousness of God, in Christ Jesus, and because of the blood of Jesus, I can boldly enter into Your throne of grace to obtain mercy (Hebrew 4:16).
The blood of Jesus speaks better things for me than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Father, I thank you for the blood covenant I have with you through the blood of Jesus, you are a covenant-keeping God, let it be known I am forever yours through this covenant. I love you, God.
Father, I repent of all sins I have committed, Knowing and unknowing, through my taught, words and actions. For your word says, if we confess all of our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Father I submit my Spirit, soul, and body unto your hands, I present myself as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto you, I was created for your purpose, to serve you as your priest, Have your way with me Lord, Father, let Your will be done in my life.
Holy Spirit, my comforter, lead me, pray through me, and intercede on my behalf. Father, I dedicate my life to You my Lord, Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Your word says, How excellent is Your lovingkindness that we seek refuge under the shadow of Your wings, for with You is the fountain of life, in Your light, we see light (Psalms 36:7, 9), let this word be manifested in my life in the name of Jesus.
Your word says For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6), I call forth the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Because I delight in God's law and meditate on His law day and night, I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; whatever I do shall prosper (Psalms 1:2-3). Blessed is the man (me) who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandment. His offspring shall be mighty in the land; The generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in my house and my righteousness endures forever, Father I come to an agreement with your word in the name of Jesus.
To the upright (me), there arises light in the darkness, surely the righteous man shall not be shaken, I shall not be afraid of evil tiding, my heart is fixed, trusting in the lord (Psalms 112:1-4, 6). No weapon form against me shall prosper, and every tongue that has risen against me, in judgment I condemn, this is my heritage as a child of God (Isaiah 54:17). And I overcame all because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). I will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff, they comfort me. You will prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over (Psalms 23:4-5). The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want and You make me lie down on green pasture (Psalms 23:1-2). God is able to make all grace abound to me, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, having all that I need, I will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).
I put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded my waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).
Therefore, I decree and declare that I will be fruitful, I will multiply, replenish, and subdue this world (Genesis 1:28), in the name of Jesus. I shall fulfill my destiny.  I decree Your word over my life which shall not return unto Him void but must accomplish where He sent it (Isaiah 55:11) in the mighty name of Jesus. And this is the confidence I have in the name of Jesus that I ask anything according to your will, lord you will hear me and that my joy may be full (1 John 5:14, John 16:24). Amen

What is Prayer?

What is Prayer?

Prayer, in its simplest form, is a conversation with God. It is a profound yet accessible act that allows us to engage with the Almighty Creator of the universe. Through prayer, we tap into the immense power and wisdom of the One who holds the very keys to our existence and our hearts.

The Scriptures, serving as a guiding light, encourage us to adopt a lifestyle of unceasing prayer. In this blog post, let's explore the significance of prayer and uncover its core purpose: to establish and nurture a profound relationship with our Creator.

Why do we need to talk to God? The answer lies in our very purpose of existence. According to the Scriptures, we were created in the image and likeness of God. Our lives find their true meaning and fulfillment in serving Him as His priests, carrying out His will on earth. Prayer becomes the vehicle through which we align our hearts with His divine purpose. It is through prayer that we seek His guidance, wisdom, and strength to live according to His will. Prayer is the bridge that connects our finite selves with the infinite love and wisdom of God (Genesis 1:26-27, Matthew 6:10, 1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, Isaiah 61:6)

God, the God of order, meticulously designed everything on earth with a purpose. From the realms of heaven to the physical and spiritual dimensions, all aspects of creation are bound by His laws. He established a divine order that governs every facet of existence and entered into a covenant with humanity. When God created Man, He gave us dominion over the earth. He said to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth (Genesis 1:26,28, Psalm 8:6).

Only humans have the legal authority to operate in this world in their physical bodies. Spiritual entities, including God and demons, require the consent of a human to operate in this realm. In order for God's will to be fulfilled on Earth, humans must cooperate with Him. Prayer serves as a crucial tool in aligning our hearts and actions with God's divine plan. By praying according to His will, which is revealed in the Scriptures, we tap into the power of God's Word. Through prayer, we deepen our connection with God, gain an understanding of His ways, and become active participants in manifesting His kingdom on Earth.

I've just briefly touched on the subject of prayer, giving us a foundational understanding. To recap, prayer is the bridge connecting us to God. As priests to God, our primary purpose is to pray according to His will. It's important to recognize that nothing on earth happens without the involvement of God through prayer. In essence, prayer is our way of communicating with God, aligning our desires with His will on earth as it is in heaven. Throughout the Bible, Jesus and the patriarchs were dedicated to prayer, consistently seeking God's will. Prayer is not just a one-sided conversation but a lifestyle, a two-way street that involves both speaking to God and listening for His guidance.

Prayer, in its essence, is an act of self-giving, our way of offering ourselves back to God. This concept is beautifully illustrated in Genesis 1:26, where God declares His intention to create man in His own image and likeness, granting them dominion over all the earth. What does this mean? It signifies that we bear His image, His essence, and are, in a sense, a part of Him. We are intricately connected to God, and He has chosen to establish a relationship with us, entrusting us with dominion over the earth. He partners with us to fulfill His will on earth. In essence, our relationship with God, centered on bringing His will to fruition on earth, is the very essence of pure prayer.

My vision for creating 'Praying with Scripture' is to inspire individuals like you to embrace prayer as an integral part of your daily life. I want to guide you in understanding the profound essence of prayer, helping you discover your purpose through seeking God, and mastering the art of effective prayer by aligning your petitions with His divine will. By diving into the depths of Scripture, reading it as if your very life depended on it, you will witness a transformation in your prayer life like never before. Welcome to this blog; let us learn and grow together in Christ.
