Prayer for God's will
God's will is expressed through His word, the Bible, which serves as our guide for aligning ourselves with His purposes. In the Bible, we are encouraged to pray in alignment with God's will. Scriptures such as 1 John 5:14 state, 'Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His "WILL", He hears us.' As priests to God, having been made righteous through the blood of Jesus, we are created with a purpose to fulfill His will, as He has entrusted us with dominion over the earth (1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, Isaiah 61:6, Genesis 1:28, Psalm 8:6).
It is our responsibility to align our prayers with His will so that His purposes can be accomplished on earth. According to scripture, when we prioritize seeking the kingdom of God, we are promised blessings and provision. God, who already knows our needs even before we ask, will supply us with all that we require. Moreover, as we seek His kingdom and righteousness above all else, we are assured that whatever we ask for in His name will be granted to us. (Matthew 6:26-34, John 14:13-14, John 15:7). This is where praying with scriptures becomes valuable, as it allows us to align our prayers with God's will. We are coming in agreement with His word and it does not go back to Him empty or without accomplishing its purpose. Scriptures affirm, So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
Today's Prayer
Father, this a new day, You have made and I will rejoice and be glad (Psalms 118:24). I thank You for the gift of life, for the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ on the cross. I thank you for the divine exchange that took place on the cross, that I may receive forgiveness and deliverance. I thank You for giving me life, I thank You that I am made the righteousness of God, in Christ Jesus, and because of the blood of Jesus, I can boldly enter into Your throne of grace to obtain mercy (Hebrew 4:16).
The blood of Jesus speaks better things for me than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Father, I thank you for the blood covenant I have with you through the blood of Jesus, you are a covenant-keeping God, let it be known I am forever yours through this covenant. I love you, God.
Father, I repent of all sins I have committed, Knowing and unknowing, through my taught, words and actions. For your word says, if we confess all of our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Father I submit my Spirit, soul, and body unto your hands, I present myself as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto you, I was created for your purpose, to serve you as your priest, Have your way with me Lord, Father, let Your will be done in my life.
Holy Spirit, my comforter, lead me, pray through me, and intercede on my behalf. Father, I dedicate my life to You my Lord, Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Your word says, How excellent is Your lovingkindness that we seek refuge under the shadow of Your wings, for with You is the fountain of life, in Your light, we see light (Psalms 36:7, 9), let this word be manifested in my life in the name of Jesus.
Your word says For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6), I call forth the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Because I delight in God's law and meditate on His law day and night, I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; whatever I do shall prosper (Psalms 1:2-3). Blessed is the man (me) who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandment. His offspring shall be mighty in the land; The generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in my house and my righteousness endures forever, Father I come to an agreement with your word in the name of Jesus.
To the upright (me), there arises light in the darkness, surely the righteous man shall not be shaken, I shall not be afraid of evil tiding, my heart is fixed, trusting in the lord (Psalms 112:1-4, 6). No weapon form against me shall prosper, and every tongue that has risen against me, in judgment I condemn, this is my heritage as a child of God (Isaiah 54:17). And I overcame all because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). I will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff, they comfort me. You will prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over (Psalms 23:4-5). The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want and You make me lie down on green pasture (Psalms 23:1-2). God is able to make all grace abound to me, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, having all that I need, I will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).
I put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded my waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).
Therefore, I decree and declare that I will be fruitful, I will multiply, replenish, and subdue this world (Genesis 1:28), in the name of Jesus. I shall fulfill my destiny. I decree Your word over my life which shall not return unto Him void but must accomplish where He sent it (Isaiah 55:11) in the mighty name of Jesus. And this is the confidence I have in the name of Jesus that I ask anything according to your will, lord you will hear me and that my joy may be full (1 John 5:14, John 16:24). Amen
