We were not created to pursue our own desires, but rather to fulfill God's will. In doing so, we receive rewards from Him. Prayer serves as a vital and essential connection or support system for an individual to reach God. Prayer is not only important but crucial for sustaining and enhancing one's spiritual well-being, personal growth, and overall life experience.

    Prayer is indeed our lifeline, and here's why: Through the act of prayer, we have the ability to manifest spiritual realities from God into our physical world. It's important to remember that God is a spiritual being (John 4:24), residing in the spiritual realm. Before anything comes to pass in our world, it first takes shape in the spiritual realm. The Holy Spirit is the one who grants understanding of the knowledge found in the Word of God. With this understanding, they gain the necessary tools to apply this knowledge appropriately, which we call wisdom. All of these elements are received through the act of prayer. Prayer becomes the conduit through which believers receive guidance, understanding, and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, enabling them to align their prayers with God's will and navigate their lives accordingly.

This encompasses all aspects concerning us. As God has granted mankind dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:26-27), nothing can occur on earth without the permission or involvement of humanity. Therefore, God requires us, His priests, to carry out His will (1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, Isaiah 61:6). He remains faithful to His word and cannot act contrary to it. Throughout the Bible, we see that God consistently chooses to work through human beings to accomplish His great works. When God calls you for a specific purpose, He equips you with everything you need even before you accept the call. Scripture affirms this by stating that you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). This includes provisions for your journey. This is why the Bible instructs us to seek first the kingdom of God, assuring us that all our needs will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). God already knows what you require, and His package of blessings encompasses your provisions as well.

     The devil, aware of the power and effectiveness of prayer, actively tries to hinder it. He employs various tactics to prevent you from praying, such as distractions and deceitful whispers that prayer is ineffective. The devil, known as the father of lies, constantly distorts and perverts the truth. Deception is his primary tool, and because of our lack of knowledge and understanding of God's Word, we are vulnerable to falling for his lies. It is essential for us to seek and acquire knowledge of the truth in God's Word to guard ourselves against the devil's deceptive schemes.

     The vitality of your spiritual health is reflected in your prayer life. Consistently engaging in prayer and having the desire to pray frequently are indicators of a healthy spiritual state. Conversely, if you struggle to pray or rarely engage in prayer, it is a warning sign of spiritual unhealthiness. This puts you in a vulnerable position, making you susceptible to attacks and spiritual dangers. Consider why you would not want to communicate with your Heavenly Father, whom you love, and for whom you have sacrificed your life. Such a lack of communication doesn't make sense and suggests that you may be under spiritual attack.

      There is an ongoing and unceasing battle between our flesh and our spirit as stated in Galatians 5:17. There is no middle ground—it is a matter of one or the other, choosing one over the other. The role of the flesh is to defile and corrupt the spirit. Since we reside in a fallen world, our flesh aligns itself with the values and desires of the world. Scripture affirms, For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright (Proverbs 2:6). My understanding of wisdom is the ability to comprehend and understand the knowledge that is bestowed upon us, and then appropriately apply that knowledge to our specific circumstances to produce the desired result. Or wisdom is indeed the capacity to comprehend and grasp knowledge that is imparted to us, and subsequently, to effectively apply that knowledge in a manner that aligns with our unique situations and circumstances.

       Wisdom can be likened to a brilliant light that pierces through the darkness, unveiling unforeseen solutions to problems and revealing hidden paths or directions that were previously unknown. That is why the scriptures say, 'Unto the upright, there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious and full of compassion and righteousness' (Psalms 112:4). Because when wisdom is applied, problems find resolution and guidance becomes apparent. The scriptures advise us to seek and ask for wisdom as affirmed in James 1:5: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Wisdom is a game changer, and true wisdom emanates from God.

      Let us delve into what the scripture states in James 3:17: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy". Wisdom from God is characterized by its purity, peacefulness, gentleness, humility, compassion, and sincerity. It is available to those who fear and revere the Lord, acknowledging their reliance on His guidance. 

     When individuals approach God with humility, acknowledging their reliance on Him, they are bestowed with the invaluable gift of divine wisdom. The Scriptures declare 'Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments (Psalms 112:1). As a result, wealth and prosperity will grace their households, and their righteousness will endure eternally (Psalms 112:5). These are the benefits that arise from seeking God's wisdom. The Scriptures resoundingly affirm the immeasurable worth of wisdom, proclaiming, "How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver" (Proverbs 16:16). This verse serves as a poignant reminder of the incomparable value of wisdom. 

     Indeed, we reside in a world tainted by wickedness and corruption. Therefore, it is crucial for us to be guided by the wisdom of God, which is rooted in His Word. In the book of Ephesians, Paul admonishes us with the following words: "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil" (Ephesians 5:15-16). Wisdom holds great significance in the current age we live in. It serves as a guiding force that enables life to flow more smoothly, helping us navigate challenges with greater ease. By possessing wisdom, we can make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary obstacles, and save valuable time. Additionally, wisdom helps to alleviate the burdens of stress and headaches that may arise from unwise choices or lack of understanding. 

      Thus, embracing wisdom in our lives can contribute to a more harmonious and fulfilling existence. Embracing God's wisdom is when we truly experience the blessings that come from aligning our lives with His divine plan. Another scripture I would like us to explore today, let us read, 'Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name (Philippians 2:5-9). Jesus exemplified complete surrender to God; His agenda was solely focused on fulfilling God's will.

       Pose this question to yourself: Are accepting the gift of salvation and complete surrender to God one and the same, or are they vastly different? Or perhaps, could they be viewed as a transformative process? Let's delve into this thought-provoking topic. while the two concepts are interconnected and can go hand in hand, they are not identical. It involves continuous growth, learning, and transformation as individuals strive to live in obedience to God's teachings and principles.

     The initial step towards aligning yourself with God's will is expressing your wholehearted surrender and commitment to Him, declaring your willingness to follow His guidance completely. It's not enough to simply listen to His teachings; we must put them into action and live them out daily.

     So, taking that first step of complete trust, obedience, and dependence on God sets the foundation for our journey of alignment with His will. It opens the door for His divine guidance, transforming our lives from mere spectators to active participants in His divine plan. Scripture affirms, Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). Your words reflect the contents of your heart, shaping your choices and guiding your actions. In other words, your actions mirror the state of your heart. As a child of God and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, it is essential to read the Bible. By doing so, you renew your mind and experience transformation (Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8, Ephesians 4:23, Psalm 119:11). 

    Today, we will explore the transformative power of scriptures in renewing our minds. Now, let's examine this scripture: 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God' (Romans 12:2). I want us to specifically focus on the phrase 'renewing of the mind.' In this context, the mind refers to the faculty where decisions are made and thoughts are formed. Imagine your mind as a vast storage of information. It is from this reservoir of stored knowledge and experiences that you draw upon to make decisions and take action. You can only utilize and apply what you have previously stored in your mind. As believers in Christ, the same principle applies to us. When our minds are renewed, we replace old thoughts and beliefs with new ones. 

    The practical way for this transformation to occur is by actively engaging in learning and acquiring new knowledge. It is through this intentional effort that our thought processes can be changed, leading to real and lasting transformation. Consistently reading the Word of God is a powerful way to store knowledge in your mind. It is within your mind that thoughts are processed and decisions are made, and the content you fill it with greatly influences your thinking. By immersing yourself in the Word, you are actively storing God's truth and wisdom in your mind, which shapes your thought processes and guides your decision-making.

     Certainly, as mentioned earlier, Matthew 12:34 states, "For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." This verse highlights the connection between the condition of our hearts and the words we speak. It emphasizes that what resides in our hearts will ultimately be expressed through our words and actions. In Luke 6:45, the Scripture further explains that a good person, with a good treasure in their heart, brings forth good, while an evil person, with an evil treasure in their heart, brings forth evil. These verses indicate that our words and actions are a reflection of what is stored within us. As Christians, we can discern the character of a person by observing their fruits, which encompass their words, actions, and overall behavior. 

    By examining these fruits, we can gain insight into the condition of their heart and make discernment accordingly. Indeed, the Scriptures affirm the power and significance of the Word of God. According to Hebrews 4:12, the Word of God is living and powerful, capable of discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. It has the ability to penetrate deep within us, dividing our soul and spirit, and revealing the true condition of our innermost being. Additionally, as mentioned in John 6:63, the Word of God is spirit and holds transformative power. It activates the Ministry Angels assigned to us by God to war for us in the spiritual realm, as they only respond to and are aligned with the Word of God. Moreover, the Scriptures minister to our spiritual selves (spirit man), bringing conviction and leading to a desire for change and transformation.

      Now that we have discussed the significance of renewing our minds through the reading of God's Word, let us explore the importance of protecting and shielding our minds with scriptures. By doing so, we create a defense mechanism against negative thoughts and distractions. Scriptures act as a shield, guarding our minds against destructive patterns of thinking that are not in alignment with God's word. Scripture reveals that the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He is the father of lies (John 8:44). Scriptures remind us of the devil's destructive agenda and the importance of recognizing his deceitful nature. By doing so, we can guard ourselves against his lies and deceptions. 

    This is where knowing the word of God comes into play. Let us use the scenario of fear of sickness. You wake up one morning feeling weak and fatigued. As the day progresses, you notice some symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, and maybe a mild temperature. Fear starts to grip your mind as thoughts of serious illness come to the forefront. You begin to worry about the potential consequences of being sick, such as hospitalization or long-term complications. The fear intensifies as you contemplate the impact it could have on your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. The uncertainty of the situation and the fear of the unknown amplify your anxiety about the possibility of being seriously ill. All of these thoughts that are cooking up in your mind are the lies of the devil, which he has convinced you to believe. Now you are paralyzed with fear. But what you were supposed to do was to acknowledge that it is a lie and to use the Word of God against his lies. Scripture affirms, 'Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ' (2 Corinthians 10:5). This means resisting the lie and instead repeating the Word of God that says, for example, 'For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind' (2 Timothy 1:7). 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:6-7). 'By His stripes, I am healed' (Isaiah 53:5b). 'For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ' (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). 'No weapon form against me shall prosper, and every tongue that has risen against me, in judgment I condemn, this is my heritage as a child of God' (Isaiah 54:17). 'I overcame all because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world' (1 John 4:4). And you persist in repeating these scriptures or any other scriptures that resonate with your situation until the fear dissipates, recognizing and affirming the inherent power of God's Word. His Word is an incredible source of power and effective, capable of bringing forth profound peace, conquering fear, resolving problems, and providing divine wisdom. It shines as a radiant light, dispelling darkness and illuminating our path. 

     Scripture doesn't take root in your mind overnight; it requires the intentional cultivation of habits to store God's Word in your heart. By consistently reading and hearing scriptures, they become ingrained in your being, even influencing your subconscious mind, resulting in the projection of scriptures in your thoughts and actions. Reading your Bible is like taking your daily dose of heavenly vitamins. It's the ultimate way to nourish your soul, boost your spiritual muscles, and keep your faith in tip-top shape. The Power of Our Words

Our words hold tremendous power and can shape our reality, influence ourselves, and impact others, according to spiritual laws. The words that flow from our mouths are a reflection of what resides in our hearts, as mentioned in the scriptures, Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). It is essential to recognize that the abundance of our hearts will manifest through our speech. As the scripture states, a good person brings forth good from their good treasure, while an evil person brings forth evil from their evil treasure (Matthew 12:35). Our words can bring encouragement, healing, and inspiration, but they can also cause harm, division, and negativity. 

   Understanding the immense power of our words empowers us to use them wisely and responsibly, ensuring that we speak words that uplift, edify, and align with the truth of the word of God. Today's scripture will be from Proverbs 18:20-21, which says, "A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the product of his lips, he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." This scripture helps us understand that what we fill our minds with ultimately produces what comes out of our mouths. Our words have the power to shape our thoughts, emotions, and actions. They can either bring life and blessings or bring negativity and harm. 

     It reminds us of the importance of speaking words that are edifying, encouraging, and aligned with the will of God. So let's delve deeper into this knowledge. Scripture tells us that "life and death are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21) and when "We decree a thing, and it shall be established for us; So the light will shine on our ways" (Job 22:28). These passages highlight the spiritual law that emphasizes the power of our words. Our words have the ability to bring either life or death, depending on how we choose to use them. As believers, through our acceptance of Jesus as our Lord, we have received the authority to speak with power. We are made righteous in Christ Jesus and walk in His authority. Therefore, when we decree a thing in alignment with God's will, it has the power to manifest because the favor of God is upon us and God has to honor His word (Jeremiah 1:12). This is the operation of spiritual law in action. 

        Earlier, I mentioned that out of the abundance of our hearts, our mouths speak. Let's consider a case where worry and anxiety arise. Let's take the case as an example Hypothetically speaking. In a situation where worry and anxiety arise, such as when facing false accusations from a coworker that could potentially lead to termination, it is important to be mindful of the power of the words we confess aloud. As the scripture says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my hearts and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). Instead of allowing fear to take hold of us, we are encouraged to bring our concerns to God through prayer, expressing our requests, and trusting Him to intervene. By maintaining an attitude of faith and gratitude, we can experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 

    This peace keeps us calm and rational, removing fear and giving us confidence that God will resolve the situation, even in the midst of chaos. It is at this point that we can declare and believe in the truth of the scripture. For example, Scripture like, 'We can have confidence that God will supply all our needs (resolving the problem) according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:19). And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). No weapon form against me shall prosper, and every tongue that has risen against me, in judgment I condemn, this is my heritage as a child of God (Isaiah 54:17), etc. Even if the situation doesn't unfold as we expected, we can trust that God is orchestrating all things for our ultimate good. In the end, we will win (Romans 8:28). This is how you speak God's word into your situations: by understanding when and how to apply it.

Inorderward it predicts the end result whether they are good or bad. This Bible can act as a preventive measure if we adhere to God's laws, or as a remedy if we disregard them. The Bible operates on the principle of cause and effect, emphasizing that our choices and actions yield corresponding outcomes.

      Now, let's consider the case of the poor as an example. In various scriptures, we are explicitly instructed to extend assistance to those in need. Let us delve into the underlying principles governing this law as outlined in the scriptures. Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in times of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his sickbed (Psalms 41:1-3). Let us outline the principles or laws presented in this scripture.

• When he gets in trouble God will deliver from him 
• God will preserve his life (protection)
• Prosperity (fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue)
• His enemies will not overcome him
• When he is sick, God will heal him.

 By simply aiding the poor and those in need, you will receive an automatic abundance of blessings outlined above. Let us now explore another law that pertains to the act of sharing what you have and assisting others in need. There is one who (generously) scatters (abroad), and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty (Proverbs 11:24 AMP). The scripture we have just read outlines the principle that those who give generously will receive even more, while those who hoard or hold on to more than they need will experience a lack and may fall into poverty. And finally, let us examine one last scripture to illustrate the laws presented in this scripture. As it is written, He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever. He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:9-11 ESV). The scripture we have just read reveals that God is a generous provider. He not only meets our needs but also supplies the seed for sowing and the bread for food. Moreover, when we are faithful to what He has given us, He multiplies our blessings. The passage emphasizes that God enriches us in every way so that we can be generous in every way. His provision goes beyond our own benefit, as it enables us to bless others and bring thanksgiving to Him. Overall, God's abundant provision and multiplication of blessings serve as a call for believers to be generous with what they have received, leading to gratitude and praise for God.

      Now that we have explored the laws in the scriptures and have gained an understanding of the principles of cause and effect, it is important to consider how these concepts relate to the spiritual realm. Indeed, the scripture in Ephesians 1:3 affirms the following: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places." In simpler terms, this passage highlights that God is the origin of all blessings and emphasizes that believers have received every spiritual blessing through their union with Christ. It is important to note the phrase "has blessed us," which implies that these blessings were bestowed upon believers before they even asked for them. Additionally, the phrase "in the heavenly places" suggests that these blessings extend beyond the physical realm we live in, so it is safe to say in the spirit realm. The Word of God is described as spirit, living, and active in John 6:63 and Hebrews 4:12. This signifies that it is not of this world but originates from the spiritual realm. Therefore, when we activate God's laws by obeying them, the manifestation of those blessings occurs first in the spiritual realm. It is important to understand that according to spiritual law, God has already blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places.

     As believers in Christ Jesus, it is crucial for us to recognize that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places, as stated in Ephesians 6:12. This passage emphasizes that our lives are influenced by spiritual forces, and our battles are not primarily with human beings but with demonic entities. When we encounter challenging situations, we should refrain from approaching them solely from a physical perspective. Instead, we are encouraged to employ spiritual discernment and engage in prayer, using Scripture as our weapon and guide. By doing so, we can address these circumstances effectively and from a spiritual standpoint.
